State-Based Marketplace Highlights

Across the country, state-based marketplaces are turning to GetInsured for modern, scalable technology and a commitment to true collaboration. Together, we’re driving innovation in health insurance and empowering states to reach enrollment goals, streamline consumer journeys, and expand access to quality coverage.

Below are just a few examples of how states are leveraging our expertise and solutions to achieve their goals and deliver lasting results for their communities.

In 2014, Idaho became the first SBM to transition from the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM), choosing GetInsured to lead the way. We integrated with the state’s Medicaid eligibility system and launched the marketplace in under 10 months – a rollout widely praised in the media as “flawless.”

GetInsured migrated Minnesota’s anonymous shopping, consumer decision support, and enrollment system of record to our platform for the 2020 Plan Year and since that time have successfully integrated with the state’s Medicaid eligibility system.

We supported Nevada’s transition from the federal marketplace to a fully integrated eligibility, enrollment, and consumer assistance center platform for the 2020 plan year. The GetInsured solution connects with the Nevada Medicaid Department (DWSS) using the Account Transfer protocol, supporting a smooth experience for both residents and state administrators.

In partnership with GetInsuredPennsylvania transitioned from the federal marketplace and launched in time for Open Enrollmen2021, complete with consumer assistance center services. The GetInsured platform fully integrates with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services using the standard FFM Account Transfer protocol, providing residents with a smooth and coordinated experience.

GetInsured helped New Jersey transition from the federal marketplace and launch its SBM in time for Open Enrollment 2021. Our implementation of Account Transfer allows seamless information exchange between the Get Covered NJ platform and New Jersey’s Medicaid agency (DMAHS), supporting efficient and coordinated eligibility determination for residents.

GetInsured supported Virginias 2023 transition from the federal marketplace while preserving Virginia’s status as a determination state by implementing MAGI determination and integrating with both the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) and the Department of Social Services (DSS). This achieved coordinated eligibility and enrollment services for Virginia residents, and our consumer assistance center offers ongoing support.

Launched as a state-based marketplace for Plan Year 2025, Georgia achieved record-breaking enrollment with GetInsured as its partner. Features we provide for Georgia include a dedicated consumer assistance center and Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) for expanded access and support.

New Mexico transitioned from a previous vendor to GetInsured for Plan Year 2026. This partnership involved migrating data and ensuring business continuity – demonstrating our expertise in supporting complex state vendor transitions.

Illinois partnered with GetInsured to transition from the FFM to an SBM for Plan Year 2026. We provide a dedicated consumer assistance center for this engagement and are planning to shift Illinois to a single door model for SBM and Medicaid operations in 2028.

We are currently transitioning Oregon from the FFM to an SBM and plan to go live in time for OEP 2027. This engagement includes providing Oregon with a consumer assistance center.
