In this role, Lobo will oversee the fast-growing company’s business intelligence and analytics, security and compliance, and the technical services that enable GetInsured to deliver online health insurance shopping solutions for individuals, state exchanges and corporations.
A 20-year Silicon Valley veteran, Lobo is a contributing inventor and holder of multiple patents for online shopping, payment and browsing technologies that are used by the world’s largest banks and merchants. He and his former team received the American Express Chairman’s Award for Innovation for the invention of the mobile shopping offer assistant, and his teams’ innovations in mobile payments, social media payments and ecommerce have been recognized by the Webby Awards, PC Magazine, the Interactive Media Awards and the American Business Awards many times over the past decade.
Lobo joins GetInsured after co-founding and serving as the COO of Billeo, which optimizes how users shop and pay bills online. Billeo’s products are used globally by more than 40 financial institutions, 20,000 billers, 1,500 merchants and the top 5 airlines. He has also held executive leadership roles at Cyberbills (acquired by Metavante) and Healtheon/WebMD, where he developed the first interactive prescription writing and drug-to-drug interaction system on a PDA for use by medical personnel.
