Array Health to add GetInsured’s award-winning individual health exchange solution to Array Spectrum® health insurance e-commerce platform

SEATTLE – January 21, 2016 – Array Health and GetInsured today announced a partnership to provide GetInsured’s individual solution on Array Health’s private exchange platform for insurer-led exchanges. Through this partnership, the new Array Health private exchange solution for individuals combines the Array Spectrum® e-commerce platform and the market-leading GetInsured platform to help insurers excel in the individual market and cultivate member-for-life relationships.

Together, Array Health and GetInsured will offer a new e-commerce approach to the individual private exchange. The Array solution creates a smooth and convenient process from shopping to enrollment, billing and payment. Insurers can leverage omni-channel design principles to provide a consistent, efficient experience across desktop and mobile devices of different sizes and formats, including tablets and smartphones.

The Array Health/GetInsured partnership will help insurers gain and retain current members as they move between group and individual coverage, and give employers and consumers the flexibility they need. The combined solution delivers a tailored shopping experience for different types of consumers, from the experienced shopper who knows exactly what to purchase to the novice who needs more guidance and information to make a decision.

This partnership comes as a response to market changes that have left health insurers looking for new ways to retain members:

  • Group coverage through employer-sponsored health insurance continues to decline. According to recent market data from the Kaiser Family Foundation, employers with three to 49 workers offering coverage has dropped to 54 percent in 2015, from 66 percent five years earlier.
  • At the end of the first quarter of 2015, more than 20.1 million people had enrolled in individual, non-group medical plans – nearly double the number who were enrolled at the end of 2013, according to reports by Mark Farrah and the Kaiser Family Foundation.
