GetInsured retires approximately $11.7M of medical debt across the United States

Over the last few years, GetInsured has been working in partnership with the non-profit RIP Medical Debt to help eliminate medical debt. Most recently, GetInsured made its eighth such medical debt purchase, which brings the total amount of debt erased to more than $11.7 million for 8,188 recipients nationwide. One of GetInsured’s goals is for as many Americans as possible to have access to affordable high quality health care; working with RIP Medical Debt to alleviate financial barriers to health care access is a key component of GetInsured’s mission.

“Medical debt is an issue of tremendous consequence, as we know that it can drive middle and working class families into poverty,” said Chini Krishnan, co-founder and CEO of GetInsured. “While the root causes of medical debt undoubtedly need to be addressed by policymakers, our mission, as a company, is to make sure everyone has access to affordable, quality healthcare with a health plan that best suits their needs.“

Help GetInsured end the stress of crippling medical debt for people in need across the nation.
